Tournaments, Thunderstorms, and Spring Fever

Things here on campus have been pretty busy. After we all returned from Winter break classes took over our lives for a while. The weather started to warm up pretty quickly, and before we knew it Valentines Day had come and gone, and we were all at home, or elsewhere for Spring Break. Kentucky headed to visit some friends for a bit before returning to spend time with family. HossBoss also traveled to see friends in the midwest. Pocho and I both headed home for break and as far as I can gather, aside from some family drama, both had a great time.

We are all back on campus now, with classes in full swing. We're all pumping through until the end of the year. Things have changed around for all of us I think. The wave of warm weather has kept us all out of our dorm rooms, and away from our textbooks (I know that's been especially true for me, Boston.)

Pocho has jumped right back into school, being more active than ever in her classes, and other clubs. Her interest group on campus has a huge event coming up and we're all wishing her lots of luck for a good turn out. HossBoss and Kentucky have been out and around discovering new passions. Rock-climbing has been particularly fun for them and they continue to go regularly and love it. As for me and my newly single self I am simply trying to find myself again and figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life. Some of my thoughts get a little overwhelming, but when I start getting too sucked in I always have Zumba, and some good friends that have stuck by me.

After thunderstorming earlier it has turned into a beautiful Spring day, much like the rest of the weather around here lately. Our basketball team made it through rounds of the tournament this past weekend so Go Pack!

Pocho and I are off to Zumba for the first time (out of 4x) this week! So pumped! :)

December Shorts

Don't you just love walking outside in your shorts and t-shirt and being completely content? I sure as heck do!! I actually could care less if it is December and the high was 71 degrees today. I love this weather. I really HATE the cold. I enjoy keeping my body in the norm and 70 degree weather and me are pretty good friends :)

The only problem I have with this type of weather in December is that it tends to just decide to do whatever it pleases. So naturally 70 Tuesday and 48 Saturday? Is that really natural?!?! NO!! That is what I am NOT ok with. Why must it be 70 and gorgeous one day and then 48 a couple days later?! Don't get me wrong a couple months of cold weather doesn't kill me but if it was 70 all winter I could not miss the cold. I'm not picky :)

Exams are starting here in college town for all of you wondering whats going on on this campus. The answer would be NOTHING but studying!!

Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Here in our corner of the world, it finally got cold. Believe it or not, I don't find this a turn for the worse.
The only bad thing about this new development is that once you step into a building you are instantly 35-ish degrees hotter than you were outside, and thus completely uncomfortable.
I guess you could say that where we live

Bruises

College is hurtful. Haha ok, so in the physical sense. But no really. I can't tell you how many bruises I have acquired in college!! The other morning while getting out of bed I swung my leg over to climb down the ladder and guess what I whacked my leg right onto my bed post! The proceeded to find out that whatever mystical faerie that comes in the middle of the night and jams my finger is still coming...

Although these things seem stupid, today in my biology lab we were learning of the human circulatory system! Fascinating....right. Anyways it came tot he part of the lab where I to prick my own finger and take my own blood to type my blood. Now I happened to be the only person at my table who had ever donated blood before so I knew perfectly well what was coming. Those little "pricks" that they say won't hurt at all give me a little itty bitty teeny tiny BRUISE that I can't escape whenever I do something. And yes typing with my pricked finger hurts so I, naturally, have mastered the art of not using my pricked finger!

Moral of the story I might die from all the typing I'm goign to have to do throughout the next couple of days.

Where in my face is used as a backboard

Today I had the happy opportunity to let one of my classmates use my face as a wall to bounce a soccer ball off of.
It wasn't particularly painful, but now my nose is tingling and I am constantly touching it to make sure that it isn't somehow swollen into a potato or something like that.
I am particularly handy at handing out injuries in that class, so I feel like it was my turn to be on the receiving end. The girl that kicked the ball into my face was a girl that I have the penchulant for tripping at least once a class. Karma may not be swift, but it certianly does come back around to you at some point.

Wha...How...OH KNOW!!!

Ok seriously. This whole idea of taking an "undecided major" was NOT A GOOD IDEA!!! How the heck am I supposed to know what to do with my life!!

Ok...that's not actually why it's a pain in the butt. It's actually the fact that I have to take 15 credit hours next semester but I have NO CLUE what to take. I applied for the major I want but what if that's not the major I end up with? I mean of course all of the classes I will most likely take will be general education but still!! I might have to end up taking 16 hours!! That means I might have 5 REAL classes! Who's idea was that?! Can you imagine having 5 tests in one week? 5 exams to prepare for? And 5 days of absolutely nothing but class.......WHYYYYYYYY?!?!?!?!

Milkshakes

Me and a Farmer once made milkshakes. Only rather than using a blender to mix the icecream with the milk, we used knives. Sounds dangerous, really isn't.
So, today, I made a milkshake with a knife and ice cream. I was so excited to drink it. Even though it was cold outside, I had just created a wonderful bit of awesomeness.
It turned out that it was so cold outside that my milkshake thickened right when we stepped outside. I had to wait for it to thaw out a bit so that I could actually drink it. I was distraught.
Oh, and by the way, Happy Halloween!
