Upon awakening

A few mornings ago, after a late night spent doing nothing, I was awoken by HossBoss screaming "Wake up!"
It seemed that our alarm had failed to ring, and our 8:05 classes were due to start in fifteen minutes.
Needless to say, I've never gotten ready so quickly.
But by the time I was out of the door, I was already five minutes late for my class. I've never been late to a class in my memory. So I was trying to think of a way I could sooth my teacher and not have her think that I was a terror child who enjoyed interrupting class by barging in when it was halfway over.
Then a miracle by the name of "Random Classmate" stopped me in the road and told me that I should turn right back around. Class was canceled.
If there was ever a time to jump for joy, that would have been the time.
And I made sure to take that opportunity.

Unlike Kentucky I was late for my class just so everyone knows! It's not so easy having a 8:05am math class!!

Once during finals week I put off studying for my writing class final until the last minute.(We were supposed to read a Shakespeare play and then the class was going to meet at my professor's house for blueberry muffins and discuss the play. We would be graded on our participation. I was dreading it because you know that I don't like to talk to people in groups. Especially when it is a competition to make the most/most profound comments.) It was literally midnight, the night before my 8 a.m. final. Also I was busy studying for other finals, so it wasn't totally procrastination. I was planning to stay up for a couple hours and review the play, which I had read before. I came home and my room mate told me that my professor had called, she was sick with the flu, and our final was cancelled! Joy and jubilation!
